Beginning at the Age of 19, Peter J. Burns III has begun, worked, bought and sold well over 100 businesses in dozens of markets. Nantucket Island was the home of Burns' first"real" business-importing mopeds out of Austria and being the firrst in the nation to rent them to vacationing tourists. After making $55,000 in only 10 weeks from his summer"job," Burns chose his moped fleet and setup store on Sanibel Island, Florida for the winter season.

Ultimately, he enlarged into 100 Markets like Maui, St. Kitts, Boothbay Harbor, Key West, including rental products like bicycles, roller blades, jet skiis and even Harley Davidson motorcycles and exotic automobiles to his leasing fleet.

Burns enlarged his entrepreneurial Fire to these companies as magazine publishing using the unique"Insertazine" format, started among the first email advertising companies, started a mens retail clothes store, acquired and developed commercial property, based the biggest entrepreneurial community in the U.S. (Club Entrepreneur), opened the first entrepreneurial resource centres (eFactory, Club E Office) and generated the country's first accredited College of Entrepreneurship at Grand Canyon University.

Burns was in the U.S Army as an Infantry soldier, was first appointed to the United States Military Academy (West Point), went through the United Stated Military Academy Preparatory School (USMAPS), won an Army 4 Year ROTC Scholarship and attended the University of Virginia's McIntire School of Commerce. He was the youngest ever chosen (age 29) for Harvard Business School's Owners and Labour Management Program (OPM).
